A storefront is the one wall of your building that has to do everything at once: show off the merchandise, move customers in and out, shrug off a Category 5 and survive a crowbar at 3 a.m. We build ours on extruded aluminum storefront framing sized to your elevations, with entrance doors, closers and panic hardware integrated into the same system — one contractor, one warranty, one point of accountability. Because our family's V&V Windows & Doors factory fabricates the glazing, GCs and owners deal directly with the people cutting the glass.
In the high-velocity hurricane zone, laminated impact glazing earns its keep twice. The same interlayer that keeps wind-borne debris out of your sales floor in September stops a smash-and-grab in February — the glass may crack, but it stays in the frame and the intruder stays outside. Add insulated Low-E units and the system also pulls double duty against the Miami sun, trimming HVAC load across every square foot of exposure.

Series 1000 and 4500 storefront: what the NOAs certify.
For High-Velocity Hurricane Zone frontage we install the impact-rated Series 1000 window wall and Series 1000 storefront door. The Series 4500 flush-glazed storefront is a non-impact system for protected or inland openings. Every opening is checked against these limits at the free measure; where a wall needs more than the guaranteed rating, we specify the upgraded glass and anchoring the approval allows.

In the high-velocity hurricane zone — all of Miami-Dade and Broward — new storefront glazing must meet Florida Building Code wind-borne debris requirements. A Miami-Dade NOA impact assembly satisfies that with laminated glass in the frame itself, so there is nothing to deploy before a storm and the same glazing resists smash-and-grab break-ins every night of the year.
It depends on the glazing spec and frame finish. Standard finishes with monolithic or insulated glass move fastest; NOA impact assemblies and custom colors add fabrication time. We field-measure, confirm the spec and give you a written schedule with your estimate — and we hold the dates we give you.
Yes — most of our storefront work happens at night, on weekends or in phases, one bay at a time. Openings are secured or boarded between shifts so you trade during the day and we build after hours. Tell us your hours and we schedule around them.
