Most mirrors and standard tempered panels are ready about a week after we field-measure; low-iron, oversized or patterned glass can take longer to fabricate. We confirm a firm timeline at your free on-site estimate and schedule the install date before anything is cut.
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be several times stronger than standard glass and crumbles into small, blunt pieces if broken — the go-to for showers and tabletops. Laminated glass bonds two panes over an interlayer that holds the panel together even when cracked, which is why railings and security glazing often call for it. We spec the right type and thickness for each opening per the Florida Building Code.
In most cases, yes. We match thickness, tint, edgework and texture against the original panel during the field measure. If a pattern has been discontinued, we bring samples of the closest available matches so you approve the look before fabrication.
Yes. Our crew removes and hauls away old panels, enclosures and mirrors as part of the job — including glue-set mirror walls, which we cut free carefully and follow with wall prep so the new piece sits flat. Floors and fixtures are protected the whole time.
Yes — 24/7. If a door, window or storefront panel breaks, we board up and secure the opening the same day, measure the frame while we're there, and return with the replacement glass as soon as it is fabricated.
